In New Orleans, we don’t think in genres. (I mean obviously logistically we give things labels.) But our lives are all about featuring music as the soundtrack of everything. Weddings, funerals, Mardi Gras, it’s Thursday, you name it - there’s a song for that.

Our niche is simple: New Orleans musicians play everything that evokes any feeling. It’s music for the people. It’s folk. Funk. Jazz. R&B. Classical. Pop. And most importantly, it’s collaborating. Because that’s who we are.

So here at Old Saw Music, we know our community well and write songs as vehicles to highlight great musicians playing the kinds of music they bring alive.
